Skills Acquisition, Training, and Empowerment Programmes are structured initiatives designed to equip individuals, especially young people, women, and vulnerable groups, with the practical skills and vocational knowledge necessary for self-reliance and economic independence.
These programmes cover various trades and sectors, including tailoring, catering, ICT, agriculture, crafts, and entrepreneurship.
By offering hands-on training, mentorship, and sometimes starter packs or financial support, the programmes help reduce unemployment, poverty, and dependence, while promoting productivity and sustainable livelihoods within communities.
A two week - skill acquisition, training and empowerment programme organised by the Niger Delta Development Commission
(NDDC) facilitated by Chastest in Partnership with Green Olive Development Initiative GODI Consult was held to provide vocational skills, training and empowerment for entrepreneurial purposes for phy s i cal l y chal lenged youth/people in the Niger Delta.
